bee was spotted leaving lunch at bar pitti with jay yesterday here in ny (and yes, i did choose that pic to get her bodyguard in the photo....)
i wonder if she already knew about vintage diva the incomparable ms. etta james's comment regarding beyonce's portrayal of her in cadillac records?
according to the ny post:
"I kinda have a man's voice. It's a contralto, more bluesy, religious. I would really like to work with her on that," the 70-year-old songstress says.Of her life lessons, Etta, who battled heroin addiction for many years, says, "I can tell Beyoncé some things; some of the things I might not tell her."
She does stress that the emotional transformation Beyoncé must undergo will have to be a little intense.
um, does anyone else think this is pretty much a near impossible task? i mean, beyonce was basically given her life story in dreamgirls and we all know how that turned out. of course the songs will be fine, but as far as portraying a heroin addict?? maybe they should have gotten kelly because i just think she can empathize with emotional pain a little more (always being placed second, having all the ignorant verses, not being able to have a successful solo career).
